| Situated in the heart of Sherwood Forest, home of the legendary Robin Hood, The Forest Lodge is a 18th century coaching inn owned and run by the Thompson family. Before acquiring the Forest Lodge some five and a half years ago, the family owned The Old Ship Inn in Lowdham which enjoyed a fantastic reputation under their guidance. The surrounding areas are steeped in history, with many places of interest to visit, including ancient abbeys and country parks, castles and cathedrals. Riding stables and a golf course are only 5 minutes drive from the Hotel. Echoes of Romans and Vikings, Norman conquests and ancient battles reverberate around the hamlets and villages of the surrounding areas. We have a family suite that can accommodate 5 people. The room is split into two parts - one part with double bed + ensuite, the other with 3 x single beds + ensuite. Prices includes breakfast. |
