| The mansion at Rosendale, modestly known locally as "the farmhouse," is one of the most beautiful surviving homes in the Valley. It is being authentically restored by historic preservationist and Innkeeper Paul Murphy, whose earlier projects included Pavilion 9 in Jefferson's Academic Village at the University of Virginia. The perfect Shenandoah Valley Bed and Breakfast setting. Our James Madison ( 1817-1825) suite is the original second floor bedrooms of the 1790 log cabin. It consists of two large rooms with the original heart pine flooring and exposed beam ceiling. It boasts a king size bed, a queen bed, an antique child's rope bed, child's dresser, and a private bath. This is an ideal family room. Sleeps 5 |
