| Dublin Saint Patrick’s Festival Parade
With the Parade theme in 2010 being ‘Extraordinary World’, the much anticipated annual favourite, the festival Parade features newly commissioned, highly original and inventive street theatre troupes, artists, giant puppetry, dancers and marching bands from Ireland and across the globe. Thousands are anticipated to be cheering on the city streets and many millions more tuning in to the RTE 1 broadcast on TV and live streaming on-line. The 2010 Cork St. Patrick’s Festival will be held on Saturday 13th, Sunday 14th and Wednesday 17th March 2010. Galway St. Patrick’s Day Parade 2010 This years parade with the theme of “Over the Moon” will start at 12.30 on Domnick Street (Monroes Pub) move up Domnick Street over O’Briens Bridge up Shop Street on to Eyre Square and finish at Galway County Building Prospect Hill. There will be free entertainment and music on the Quay Front from 10.00hrs onwards.This will consist of: Irish Traditional Music, Modern Music, Irish Dancing, Modern Dancing, Face Painting. The parade is taking place on Wednesday, 17th March. It will assemble from the Fisher’s Rowe area up to the Maudlintown area at 10.15hrs and will move off at 11.00hrs from the junction at Fisher’s Rowe. The Reviewing Stand will be located on the Quay Front adjacent to the Bridge. This year’s parade will see many floats and ten marching bands, along with stilt walkers and face painters. Up to 150 different groups will take part in the parade.
